I’m Ready for a Job Interview

 1.Understanding

A job interview is a process in which a potential employee is evaluated by an employer for prospective employment in their company, organization or firm. During this process, the employer hopes to determine whether or not the applicant is suitable for the role.

 

After knowing what a job interview is, let's look at some of the questions that often arise during job interviews along with examples of answers

• Tell me about yourself

My name is Fathia Sarah. I am twenty-five years old.

I’ve been working as a software engineer in two tech companies in Jakarta. There, I learned a lot about software.

After office hours, I used to join some software engineer classes to upgrade my skill. I’ve been loving things related to technology since I was in high school

• Tell me about your work experience

I have 4 years of experience in advertising. Previously, I joined an agency and have handled more than 50 clients.

As an advertising specialist, I made advertising concepts with the clients and helped them to reach their goals.

• What department do you apply and why do you interest on it? 

I want to apply for the System Analyst position, I am interested working on that position because that is my passion and I am also love working with computers since I was a kid

• What are your strengths, please specify each of three?

My strengths are I love to learn new things, I have a good analytical thinking, and I like to pursue my target.

• What are your weaknesses, please specify each of three? 

My weakness is, I often to lose focus when I have too many distractions. Next, I am a perfectionist, so, sometimes it takes a long time to finish a job, because I want to finish it perfectly, and the last is I am easily to get bored.

• Why should we hire you? 

Because I have enough experience in this field and this field is my own passion, so I have a very strong spirit for this field.

• How much salary do you want in every month?

I am expecting my salary is two and half million rupiahs per month.

• Do you have any strategies to increase our business income? 

Yes, I have some great ideas to increase the income, such as create a new flavour for your product or by doing a new type of promotion.

• Could you mention any computer software that you expert in it?

Besides of programming, I am also an expert of Microsoft Office dan also an expert for design software, like Adobe Photoshop and Corel Draw.

• Can you work with a team and under pressure?

Yes, I can, I also don’t think it’s a pressure because it’s the responsibility of my work and it’s also a great change to improve the quality of myself.

• What do you know about our company?

Yes, your company is a company that engaged in digital services

• Why do you want to work in our company?

Because your company have a good reputation and of course to get the great experience to work in here

• what are your goals? 

To become a better person and more professional.

• How do you manage stress and pressure?

My first step in managing stress is to try to circumvent it by keeping my work processes very organized, and my attitude professional.I also break down my projects into smaller tasks. I make a list of action items with reasonable deadlines.

• What kind of work environment do you like best?

I’ve really thrived in more collaborative environments.I prefer a setting where everyone’s input is taken into consideration because I believe approaching any project with a range of perspectives is better in the long run.

• Are you willing to relocate?

I’m very excited about this opportunity, however, due to [obligation] I am unable to relocate at this time.

• Do sit up straight and look genuinely interested.
• Do keep good eye contact.
• Don't slouch.
• Don't lean forward, towards the interviewer.
• Don't point.
• Don't cross your arms.
• Don't stare for too long.
• Don't fidget.
